Loved this article from LitHub on how immigrants and ESL students are making American English their own:

🔗 How Immigrants and Other ESL Students Make American English Their Own

It’s a brilliant reminder that language learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Whether it’s picking up slang from TV, practising small talk at the shop, or creating hybrid expressions with friends—authentic English happens everywhere.

As English teachers, let’s remember:

-Grammar is great, but connection is key

-Textbooks are useful, but real-life language is powerful

-Teaching authentic English helps learners communicate confidently in the real world

Let’s keep it real. Let’s keep it relevant. Let’s keep it English with personality. 😄🌍
