Qualified Teacher Trainer for Undergraduate Certificate in teaching English as a foreign language

Type: Part-time | Course-based engagement
DOMAX is seeking a qualified and experienced teacher trainer to deliver modules on our Undergraduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), an MQF Level 5 programme accredited by the MFHEA and recognised for ELT Permit purposes in Malta.

Minimum Requirements

All applicants involved in teaching and assessing teaching practice must have:

  • A teaching qualification in English at EQF Level 5 or above
  • A Diploma in TESOL and/or an MA in TESOL / Applied Linguistics / English Language at MQF Level 7
  • At least 720 hours of teaching experience in an EFL context
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Awareness of quality assurance processes and standards

Additional Considerations

Preference will be given to candidates who:

  • Have experience in a range of TESOL contexts (young learners, ESP, exam prep, online/hybrid, etc.)
  • Hold a valid ELT Permit and are an approved trainer by the ELT Council (Malta)
